PANEL: Utilising On-Orbit Capability for Advancing National Security Interests
This session will explore how on-orbit capability can be leveraged to advance national security interests, against the backdrop of government priority goals including commitments to scale and utilise In-Space Servicing, Assembly and Manufacturing (ISAM). While the sector presents significant commercial opportunities, its strategic importance in the national security context is rapidly increasing. The discussion will highlight the UK’s position as a global leader in this field, recognising that meaningful scale will be achieved through government-to-business (G2B), government-to-government (G2G) and international partnerships. It will also examine key confluence points with other advanced manufacturing sectors, such as robotics, and consider why the UK is uniquely well placed to scale companies to deliver on these ambitions.
