Ambassador Programme Roundtable Discussion Excel, London, South Gallery Meeting Room 18 Coordinating space power: From ambition to action Wednesday 4 March 2026 BY INVITATION ONLY Speakers: - Alderman Professor Emma Edhem, Professor Space Economy, Technology and Innovation Durham University Space Research Centre & Chairman, OpenUK Space Advisory Board. Durham University - Dr. Andrew Aldrin, Executive Director Space Programs, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University & CEO and President of the Board, Aldrin Family Foundation - Duhita Govindji, Associate Partner - Defence & Space, PA Consulting - - The central question guiding our discussion will be “If space is now critical infrastructure for our economies and security, how should Europe and its closest partners govern it together without fragmenting effort or slowing delivery?” Held in partnership with PA Consulting, the Ambassador Programme brings together Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Attachés, Heads of Space Agencies and other senior space sector leaders to explore how policy frameworks, bilateral and multilateral agreements, and collaborative initiatives can catalyse innovation and economic growth across the global space domain. Discussion points include: - NATO increasingly depends on commercial and civilian space systems. Should that change how Europe and its partners think about resilience and assurance? - In a fast?moving domain, how do allies balance speed with safety and avoid regulation on one side becoming friction on the other? At last year’s inaugural programme, we examined why the space race needs diplomacy more than ever, please see the summary report from the discussion here. Building on that foundation, this year’s discussion will again convene to consider how diplomacy can strengthen international cooperation in space during a time of heightened activity and geopolitical complexity. Participants will be invited to identify practical actions and shared commitments to reinforce collaboration in global space governance. The roundtable will take place under Chatham House Rules.
