Methane, Space, and National Strategy: Turning Emissions Data into Economic and Security Advantage

04 Mar 2026
South Gallery Meeting Room 18
Methane is increasingly shaping national priorities across energy, trade, security, and economic resilience. This facilitated roundtable will explore how governments are using space-based and airborne methane intelligence to strengthen emissions oversight, validate national reporting, and support more confident policy decisions. Hosted by GHGSat, the discussion will combine real-world data examples with an open exchange on what’s needed to accelerate adoption, overcome barriers, and turn methane insight into national advantage. GHGSat, a pioneer in emissions monitoring, uses its own constellation of high-resolution satellites and complementary airborne sensors to measure greenhouse gas emissions directly from individual industrial facilities worldwide. Its patent technology enables rapid detection and quantification of emissions at the source, delivering timely data and insights that support action on oversight, reporting, and mitigation. A trusted partner to governments, regulators, and industrial operators, GHGSat supports more informed decision-making on emissions accountability and the transition to resilient, lower-emissions energy systems. PLEASE NOTE: This session will be held off the show floor, in the South Gallery Meeting Room 18.
