Delivering IRIS' as Europe's Secure Connectivity Backbone
Secure, resilient communications are the foundation of any military operation, and Europe is building its own. IRIS' is designed to give governments and armed forces a sovereign connectivity layer that keeps working when networks are contested or disrupted. This session looks at how IRIS' will strengthen secure government and military communications, how multi-orbit satellite networks can be integrated to maintain connectivity under pressure, and what stands between the programme and delivery: the industrial and operational challenges of getting it built and optimising the service once it is live. Europe's connectivity is only sovereign if it is operational.
