Steve Beeching

Steve joined Viasat in November 2018 to take on the challenge of leading growth and prosperity investment in the UK. In helping modernize forces, adapt to new technologies, improve safety and enhance mission effectiveness across today’s technology-driven battlespace Viasat aims to becomes a National Asset to the UK MoD and Government. With over 30 years’ experience in successfully creating and delivering high quality strategic growth and transformation plans within internationally leading technology companies. He has worked with the private sector and governments in conquering rapidly sophisticated threats and led businesses to developing and delivering innovative technologies and processes within space, aerospace and communications including artificial intelligence and machine-learning. Prior to joining Viasat, Steve worked for Cobham Plc from 2008-2018, where he was Senior Vice President. Previously, he worked at Misys Plc (Banking Software & Professional Services) and Nortel Networks Corporation (Telecoms & Professional Services). He is married with 4 children, is a voracious reader, keen golfer and enjoys cycling and running. Steve has three degrees, including an MBA and a Legal Law Masters (International business).
