Omar Iqbal

Omar is a Technology Leader with over 20 years’ experience in Space Systems, Telecommunications and Quantum Technologies and. He is the Founder and CEO of Lumino Technologies, a fast-growing UK SME building next generation satellite optical and quantum communications systems and services. He has previously worked in senior roles at Arqit, Avanti Communications, CGI and Airbus Defence & Space; where he created and led multi-million-pound programmes on topic such as satellite QKD, satellite 5G, VHTS systems, secure Government networks, airborne satcom, software defined radios and next generation VSATs. He is a Fellow of Institute of Engineering & Technology and Royal Aerospace Society, and a Kings College Cambridge Scholar & Prize Winner.
