Professor Markos Trichas

Professor Markos Trichas leads on space activities for national security at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence. Prior of joining BAE Systems he spent 11 years at Airbus Defence and Space as the Head of UK Future Military Space programs and before that, over 10 years between RAL Space, Harvard University and NASA CXC working on NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope and ESA's Herschel Space Observatory. He is a Visiting Professor at the Centre for Seapower and Strategy at the University of Plymouth focusing on threats to critical spaceborne infrastructure and their impacts to naval and maritime operations and holds a PhD in Astrophysics from Imperial College London. He has authored and co-authored more than 100 peer reviewed publications and has more than 11,100 citations to his work.
