Mark Roberts

Mark Roberts CBE MA MBA. Mark is the Technical Author for BSI Flex 1969 and BSI Flex 1971. Before moving into the commercial world, Mark served with the Royal Air Force for 28 years, as an operational pilot and senior leader; he commanded 12 Squadron, 903 Expeditionary Air Wing and RAF Lossiemouth. He was Director of the Air Staff, responsible for RAF strategy and operational policy and his final appointment was as Senior Responsible Owner for three programmes valued at c.£80bn. Since leaving the military in 2012, Mark has had senior roles with Atkins Ltd (Director Defence and Space), RHEA Tech Ltd (Defence and Security Director) and Gravitilab Aerospace Services Ltd (Managing Director). He simultaneously runs his own consultancy, Reflect Solutions Ltd. Mark has delivered strategic advice in the Defence, Space, Security, Energy and Transport sectors. Mark is Chairman of the UK Air and Space Power Association, Chairs the Annual MOD Defence Space Conference and is a member of the Faculty of the London Institute of Space Policy and Law.
