Will Lecky

Will has focused his career on the economics and analysis of space, science and innovation. He co-founded know.space in 2019, with the organisation motivated by a single mission: to be the source of authoritative economic knowledge for the space sector, delivering trusted knowledge to help our clients navigate hype, risk and uncertainty. Prior to co-founding know.space, Will spent over a decade as a civil servant, with roles including chief economist at the UK Space Agency, and head of policy analysis at UK Research & Innovation. He has also worked for various government departments, regional government, and in Brussels for EU institutions. He has recently completed a project analysing the economic potential for satellite-enabled ‘machine learning for climate change’ capabilities.
