John Kennett
John E. Kennett is the Founder and CEO of Physical Mind London and the inventor of HIFIm (High Frequency Impulse for Microgravity) - a next-generation astronaut exercise countermeasure being developed for deep-space missions including Lunar Gateway and future commercial space stations. With a background spanning aerospace engineering, rehabilitation science, and human performance, John has spent the past decade creating compact, mechanically balanced exercise technology that enables resistance training, aerobic conditioning, and even jumping in microgravity - without reliance on powered resistance systems or heavy vibration isolation hardware.
HIFIm has been evaluated through multiple ESA zero-gravity parabolic flight campaigns and is now progressing within international countermeasure development to address one of human exploration’s most critical challenges: preventing musculoskeletal and cardiovascular deconditioning during long-duration missions. Beyond spaceflight, the same innovations have important terrestrial applications in clinical rehabilitation, low bone mineral density and osteoporosis countermeasures, ageing and frailty prevention, and military environments where efficient, high-impact training is required under constrained conditions. Fun fact: through repeated zero-gravity flight testing, John has accumulated more total time in weightlessness than Yuri Gagarin’s historic first spaceflight.
