HyImpulse Technologies GmbH

HyImpulse Technologies GmbH is an aerospace company based in Neuenstadt am Kocher, in southern Germany. Founded in March 2018 as a privately funded spin-off of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) from the Institute of Space Propulsion in Lampoldshausen, HyImpulse was established to make access to space more cost-effective, responsive, and sustainable, building on decades of expertise in hybrid rocket propulsion. The company develops dedicated suborbital and orbital launch services, leveraging its proprietary hybrid propulsion technology. With a development heritage spanning over 15 years and more than 100 successful engine tests, HyImpulse has established itself as a leader in hybrid rocket systems. Its services include the SR75 Sounding Rocket for suborbital missions, the SL1 Small Launcher for orbital access, and in-space mobility solutions such as the OTV platform, HyMOVE. Powered by its unique hybrid propulsion systems, HyImpulse provides responsive, flexible, and cost-efficient solutions for research, commercial, and governmental space missions.
